Amenity highlights: Two Ted Robinson-designed 18-hole championship courses, along with a putting course challenge golfers. 20 tennis courts offer players a choice of hard, clay, or grass surfaces. The Spa Desert Springs, the on-site spa, with fitness center features separate women's and men's lockers, exercise classes, a spa shop, and salon. The resort has 5 pools. Kids’ programs provide supervised activities for guests 4–12 years old.
Insider tip: The weekend Street Fair at the College of the Desert, 3 miles from the resort, consists of approximately 250 vendors and dining stalls and is open early morning to noon.
Rooms
The resort offers 884 guestrooms in two buildings of four and eight stories. The eight-story building features an atrium lobby with a 60-foot bar with a backdrop of cascading water. Guestrooms include HDTVs, balconies or patios, and CD players. High-speed Internet access is available.
Guestrooms feature signature bedding: Thick mattress, separate pillowtop, down comforter with white cover, triple sheeting with 300-thread-count sheets, extra pillows, and a decorative throw and pillow sham. Rooms also include two-chair desk and dining tables, and reading chair/ottomans or sofas. Decor includes crown molding and walnut-colored furniture. Bathrooms contain granite-and-wood vanities, marble-lined stall showers, and separate tubs.

Desert Springs - A JW Marriott Resort and Spa is home to two championship 18-hole, Ted Robinson-designed golf courses—the Palm and Valley courses—as well as an 18-hole putting course. Golf clinics (surcharge) and a pro shop are available and golf carts have onboard computers displaying graphic layouts of each hole. The lawn-and-tennis club provides 20 clay, grass, and hard-surface courts. Basketball courts, lawn croquet, bicycle rentals, and organized jogging are among other activities. Tennis clinics (surcharge) are also available.
The Spa Desert Springs, the on-site 28-room full-service spa, offers private treatment rooms with individualized music and temperature controls, and a full roster of services including massage, scrubs, wraps, anti-aging, facials, waxing, and beauty treatments. Guests may purchase day passes to use the spa facilities.
FIve additional outdoor swimming pools, three spa tubs, a fitness room with cardio-vascular equipment, and a children’s activity center (surcharge) are also on site. Numerous other championship golf courses are located in the Coachella Valley. The surrounding desert and mountains are popular for hiking, cycling, hot air ballooning, and horse riding. Ristorante Tuscany - Featuring seasonal cuisine from Italy’s northern region. Open for dinner. Antipastas, soups, salads, and side dishes. The menu changes monthly to offer the freshest ingredients of each season.
Mikado - Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar. Open for Dinner.
