Property Amenities
Within two miles of the Palm Springs Museum and the Aerial Tramway, The Colony Palms Hotel has given shelter to both high and low characters in its history. It opened under the management of a reputed mobster; in addition to normal lodging, it also served as a speakeasy and a brothel. Robert and Andrea Leeds Howard, owners of racehorse Seabiscuit, took possession of it next, giving it a new identity and a new name. For 25 years, the guest register was filled with names of young Hollywood's luminaries.
