Hotel Information: Small and intimate, this resort caters especially to families. With a staff-to-guest ratio of 1:1, a vacation nanny service, four restaurants, and a multitude of activities, the resort predominantly attracts parents of young children and infants, and, sometimes, teenage siblings.
Amenity highlights: Franklyn D. Resort & Spa features two small crescent beaches fronting calm-water swimming coves. Snorkeling opportunities lie within and just outside the coves. Rooms
The resort offers 76 guest suites in eight three- and four-story buildings (no elevators). Balconies or terraces are furnished with Adirondack chairs. Living rooms have ceiling fans and louvered windows and doors, and bedrooms are air conditioned. The resort's 183-meter (200-yard) oceanfront features two small crescent beaches fronting calm-water swimming coves protected by rocky points. Hammocks beneath shade trees at the main beach's rear provide adults vantage points to watch children. Snorkeling opportunities around coral heads lie within and just outside the coves.
A 23-meter-long (75-foot-long) freeform pool is surrounded by a sundeck furnished with padded lounge chairs. A spiral water slide plunges children into another pool. Toddlers enjoy two shallow pools, one with a water slide. An adults-only six-person spa tub and a wood sunning deck is tucked away at a rocky point between the swimming coves.
The resort offers daily snorkeling trips, glass-bottom-boat rides, and use of small sailboats, snorkeling gear, and a lighted tennis court.
