Hotel Information: Built in 1970 and remodeled in fall 2007, the Waikiki Resort Hotel’s grand lobby has stained glass windows, glass paneling, and a marble front desk. A block away from busy Kalakaua Avenue, a variety of stores occupy the back area of this hotel. Amenity highlights: On the Diamond Head side of Waikiki, minutes away from Kuhio Beach with its calm waters, shops, and restaurants, this moderate resort includes a sundeck with shade canopy surrounding an L-shaped pool. Insider tip: Liliuokalani Avenue, where the hotel is located, connects with Ala Wai Boulevard, a quiet and fun street for walking. Canoe paddlers slice the waters of the famed Ala Wai canal, and behind it, locals practice their tee-off on a public golf course.

The 296 air-conditioned rooms of the 19-story Waikiki Resort Hotel are accessed via three elevators. They open to furnished lanais or balconies through sliding glass doors.

Cable TV includes pay movies and video games (surcharge). Hair dryers and coffeemakers are available on request. Irons and ironing boards may be requested.
