Spread over 31 floors, the Sheraton Waikiki has 1,636 air-conditioned rooms with island decor, and sliding glass doors opening to lanai. All have shower/tub combinations, and signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Beds with a 13-inch pillowtop mattress, five down-and-feather pillows, duvets, and triple sheeting. All rooms have compact refrigerators and high-speed Internet access (surcharge).
Rooms have contemporary island decor with bamboo shades, desks with laptop pull-out shelves, and curved wallside panels to accommodate flat-panel TVs. Bathrooms include handheld showers, dark-wood framed mirrors, stylish sinks that doubles as wet bars, and louvered windows.

A surfing school is nearby (surcharge). The beach fronting the hotel is covered at high tide, but a few steps away, to left and right, the sand remains. Hanohano Room - On the 30th floor, this restaurant offers fine dining, sultry music, impeccable service, Pacific Rim cuisine with fresh, local ingredients, and superb views of Waikiki, Diamond Head, and the city. Open for dinner.
Ocean Terrace - Indoor/outdoor dining for breakfast.
RumFire - Located in the heart of Waikiki, Rum Fire offers a large selection of vintage rum, tapas-style cuisine, pre-embargo Cuban cigars, and dramatic fire pits. Open daily for dinner. Drinks served until 2 AM.
Ingredients - Casual dining. Features made-to-order gourmet meals that cater to guests on-the-go. Open morning until late afternoon.
Sand Bar - Poolside, suspended over the shoreline. Light fare and drinks for barefooted guests; live Hawaiian music at sunset. Open midmorning until mid-evening.
Yoshiya - On the second floor, intimate restaurant serves fine Japanese cuisine, plus sushi and bento. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The tea ceremony includes live traditional music.
Cobalt Lounge - On the 30th floor, in the Hanohano Room, with views of Diamond Head, this is the happy-hour place for Honolulu socialites. Appetizer menu, entertainment nightly.
Esprit - The patio of this beachfront nightclub opens late afternoon to catch the sunset. Pupus, mangotinis, and other drinks. Nightly live entertainment and dancing from early evening to early morning.
