4 star ratingHyatt Regency Auckland

Cars pull up under the glass-roofed portico of the Hyatt Regency Auckland, where guests enter glass doors flanked by Chinese lions. The compact reception desk lies straight ahead, while the main section of the lobby runs off to the left, flooded with natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows. Guests relax on groups of sofas or at the tables of the Lobby Bar and its outdoor patio. The granite floors are scattered with patterned rugs. Flower arrangements sit on low tables, and simple modern artworks enliven the walls.

4 star ratingCityLife Hotel - Auckland

The portico and entrance to the CityLife Auckland, located on Durham Lane, is flanked by large plants in ceramic pots. Inside, more potted plants, as well as displays of colourful glassware, decorate the public areas, which are tiled in black and white. To the right of the entrance is an area of high-backed armchairs and an Internet station for use by guests. Straight ahead lie the concierge and reception desks in dark stone, backed by wood panels.

4 star ratingRendezvous Hotel Auckland

A large atrium, lit by a nine-storey wall of windows and a glass roof, greets business guests and tourists to the Rendezvous Hotel, which is entirely smoke-free.
