Hotel Information: A luxurious retreat with the style and manner of an elegant private mansion, The Iroquois New York has gained recognition and loyalty from guests for years by providing outstanding guestrooms, amenities, and service. Opened in 1923 and allowed to decline to the extent that actor James Dean could afford to live there before he made it in Hollywood, the Iroquois was rescued in the 1950s by a New Yorker who has operated it since as a tranquil urban haven.
