Hotel Information: A timeless classic, The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel, has been called home by leaders in world affairs, business, society, entertainment, and the arts since its debut in 1930. The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel, offers 179 spacious guestrooms and suites, each decorated in a refined aristocratic style with original artwork and antiques. Beds are layered with 440-thread-count, custom-designed sheets by Rivolta Carmignani of Milan and down duvets with monogrammed Carlyle covers. Walls are adorned with Audubon prints, 18th-century architectural renderings by Piranesi, or English country scenes by Kips. Flat-screen, high-definition TVs come with DVD players. Bemelmans Bar - Celebrated bar with original murals by Ludwig Bemelmans, artist and creator of Madeline children’s books. Murals depict whimsical scenes of Central Park, including picnicking rabbits. Art Deco design includes leather banquettes, dramatic black-granite bar, 24-karat gold leaf–covered ceiling. Classic cocktails. Sophisticated bar menu includes Mini Marinated Lamb Chops and the ground-to-order Carlyle Black Angus Burger. The Gallery - Exotic decor inspired by the sultan's dining room at the Topkapi Palace in Turkey. Upper gallery wrapped in deep red, hand-painted wallpaper. Banquettes made of antique kilims and red-fringed velvet chairs. Intimate lower gallery features intricate blue-and-gold wallpaper. À la carte menu 10 AM–2 AM.
