Hotel Information: Celebrity hotelier André Balazs designed this Manhattan hotel as a hostel stripped to the essentials for globe-trotting fashion models and young professionals. Room-Mate Grace has no doorstaff, porter/bellhop, conference room, or restaurant. The front desk resembles a sidewalk newsstand and sells snack foods, liquor and beverages, and periodicals. But it does have a complimentary Continental buffet breakfast, a pool social center, a bar/lounge, and a DJ.
Amenity highlights: This Theater District hotel features a 24-hour mezzanine social area that includes a heated indoor pool with underwater music, and a service window for drinks from the hotel's bar/lounge. A DJ performs nightly for guests in the pool and those using an adjacent unisex area consisting of steam room, sauna, and, between them, a communal shower with rain showerheads. Bar service continues long past midnight.

Slate amphitheater seating leads from the pool to an red-tiled, unisex steam room and an expansive unisex sauna. Between them, a slate-lined communal shower room with glass side walls and bench contains five rain showerheads.
A DJ performs nightly in the pool's amphitheater. When the DJ is not present, contemporary background music plays throughout the mezzanine level. Room-Mate Grace mezzanine also includes a small, 24-hour complimentary fitness center overlooking West 45th Street through a pink window.
