Hotel Information: Opened in 2007, this small, friendly hotel stands just one block from the Empire State Building. In the lobby, sliding glass doors lead to a Starbucks coffee shop. Guests are mostly leisure travelers who appreciate the convenient Midtown location near shopping, dining, and world-famous attractions.
Amenity highlights: A large, light-filled Starbucks, just off the lobby, is an ideal spot to jump-start the day or unwind after shopping and sightseeing. The Hotel 373 Fifth Avenue is completely smoke-free. Wireless Internet access is complimentary throughout the hotel.
Insider tip: Look up and see the Empire State Building's dazzling light display at the top of the tower. Most of the year, the lights glow white. For holidays and special events, the colors change to fit the occasion: red, white, and blue for patriotic holidays; red, green, and white for Christmas; blue and white for Channukah, and so on. Several weeks during spring and fall, the lights are turned off to protect migrating birds.
Rooms

Five blocks north of the hotel, Bryant Park is a Midtown oasis with tree-shaded paths perfect for short strolls. The park also offers a seasonal ice-skating rink, a French-style carousel, food kiosks, complimentary wireless Internet access, plenty of chairs and tables, wide lawns for sunning and picnicking, and wonderful views of surrounding skyscrapers.
Central Park, 1.25 miles north, encompasses 843 acres of meadows, woods, cliffs, ravines, gardens, paths, and lakes in an emerald setting. Popular walking and running routes include Central Park Drive (closed to traffic during scheduled hours) and the path around the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir.
