Insider tip: The sky-high views from the Roosevelt Island aerial tram are amazing, and the tram station is about four blocks from the hotel. Rising up to 250 feet above the East River, the tram links Manhattan with Roosevelt Island, a historic residential enclave. The ride takes just over four minutes. The tram has been featured in numerous TV shows and movies, including a pivotal scene in Spider-Man. One-way fare is $2 (subject to change).
