Hotel Information: This building’s status as an Art Deco landmark is reflected in its orange-brown brick façade as well as its richly decorated interior. The lobby is appointed with mahogany-paneled walls, brushed-steel-and-copper elevator doors, marble floors, and angular, Art Deco-style light fixtures. International dignitaries attracted to the hotel’s proximity to the U.N. mingle with leisure travelers who enjoy its upscale Midtown East location and large guestrooms.

Amenity highlights: On the 26th floor, two outdoor terraces flank the romantic Top of the Tower restaurant, which features live piano music nightly as well as panoramic views of the city and East River. Wireless Internet access (surcharge) is available throughout the Beekman Tower Hotel.

The grassy, tree-studded park is steps away from the banks of Manhattan’s East River and views of the 59th Street Bridge. A half-mile north, on 63rd Street, visitors can access the East River Walk, a long scenic stroll dotted with landscaped parks that follows the water northward.
