Recreation
Guests can swim in the freshwater pool or practice their backhand on the tennis court (rackets and balls are complimentary). The plantation’s stables allow for carriage rides through historic Gingerland and trail riding. Trails accommodate a nature walk or history hike. Guides for these ventures are available through the hotel. A plethora of water sports at the nearby beaches can also be easily arranged through the hotel’s beach club. Dining
Hermitage Restaurant - This on-site restaurant has one of the best reputations in the islands. Many of the fresh, high-quality ingredients are produced on the plantation, including home-reared pork and lamb, fruit from the hotel’s trees, and herbs from the kitchen garden. Fresh fish, conch, and lobster are obtained from neighborly fishermen. All of the baking, ice cream, desserts, jellies, and jams are homemade. The result is extraordinarily delicious fare influenced by the island and the sea. |
