Avila Hotel
A late-1700s Dutch Colonial mansion at the center of this multi-section hotel once served as the Curaçao governor's residence and is now the lobby building. The mansion was called La Belle Alliance. That name is preserved in one of the hotel's sections, which includes a vermillion recital hall where chamber-music festivals are held several times a year.
Hilton Curacao
Occupying 23 acres of a blunt peninsula, Hilton Curacao offers panoramic sea views, particularly from the peninsula's broad end, which is swept by sea breezes, graced by cactus gardens and a lighted miniature-golf course, and features Sunset Rock, which has concrete bleachers facing west. Families and couples come to the resort for restful holidays with plenty of space, fresh air, and sunshine.
Marriott Curacao Resort
Consisting of six oceanfront acres, the resort offers a tranquil ambience of sea views and gardens. A fountain pool at the entrance and a waterfall from an open-air lobby toward the beach heighten the prevailing hush. Adults dress in resortwear after dark, when lights illuminate the resort's many palm trees and a nightclub/lounge and the casino get busy.
Hotel Kura Hulanda Spa and Casino
The restored Dutch Colonial village that constitutes Hotel Kura Hulanda Spa and Casino is situated on the Otrobanda side of Willemstad. The village also includes an anthropological/cultural museum and a contemporary conference center. Guests come for restful, traffic-free holidays in a tranquil setting of narrow lanes and garden courtyards.
Floris Suite Hotel
Popular with couples seeking utter tranquility, Floris Suite Hotel is quiet and uncrowded even when fully occupied. The pool deck is open to sunshine. Otherwise, tall tropical gardens designed by Venezuelan Diana Henriquez de Fernandez nearly obscure buildings, creating a jungle-like ambience of dappled shade and sun.
Lodge Kura Hulanda and Beach Club
Popular with divers since opening in August 2005, Lodge Kura Hulanda and Beach Club also attracts couples and families seeking a serene setting, panoramic Caribbean Sea views, and opportunities to explore Christoffel National Park, 6.5 km (4 mi) away. Grounds include a secluded Japanese garden, native trees, cactus gardens, flowering bushes, and tamarind and breadfruit trees.
Breezes Curacao Resort Spa & Casino All Inclusive
Families seeking activity-filled days and nights at a casual beachfront resort create a lively ambience in conjunction with an energetic activity staff that keeps everyone occupied. The light-sand beach offers a tranquil sunbathing retreat.
Lions Dive & Beach Resort
Scuba enthusiasts come to the resort for its full-service dive center and clear waters. Families are attracted by the calm-water, child-friendly lagoon in front of the resort and the proximity to the Curaçao Sea Aquarium. Recipient of a Green Globe Award for its environmental sensitivity, the resort employs solar and wind power for some of its energy needs. Plants and trees are identified by botanical signs.
Sunset Waters Beach Resort All Inclusive
A magnet for divers, the ultra-casual Sunset Waters Beach Resort All Inclusive welcomes families but mostly attracts couples and groups seeking an on-site dive center and no-fuss relaxation between explorations of Curaçao’s many dive sites.
