Hotel Information: The Inn at Southbridge occupies a contemporary, vine-draped building one block from the center of St. Helena, one of Napa Valley’s most charming towns. The inn shares its neighborhood with the Merryvale Winery, Health Spa Napa Valley, and several acclaimed restaurants. Guests are primarily couples who appreciate the quiet setting, handsomely appointed rooms, and proximity to dozens of wineries.

Insider tip: Rutherford Hill, two miles from the inn, is among just a handful of Napa Valley wineries using caves for wine storage. Carved deep into the hills behind the winery, the caves of Rutherford Hill comprise an extensive wine-aging system. Winery tours include a walk through the caves, which naturally maintain a year-round temperature of 59 degrees and hold about 8,000 oak barrels.
Rooms
This two-story Napa Valley hotel offers 21 guestrooms, all on the second floor. French doors open to small, unfurnished balconies with views of the hillside, courtyard, or the pool at the adjacent spa. Beds are dressed with down comforters and pillows, and all-white linens. All rooms have fireplaces and vaulted ceilings. Bathrooms feature vaulted ceilings, bathrobes, and British Gilchrist & Soames products.
