Hotel Information: Known as the Pearl of the Swiss Riviera, this turn of the 20th century hotel oozes sumptuous elegance. It was built in 1906 in a mix of styles with a heavy Art Nouveau leaning and absorbed the 1837 Hôtel du Cygne. Rooms
Fairmont Le Montreux Palace has 235 guestrooms on eight floors. A brief corridor leads you into the room, off which is located a marble bathroom. The standard rooms are bathed in a combination of red, yellow, and beige fabrics, dark timber furniture, and thick red carpet. Most rooms come with two twin beds and some with a king bed. Two chairs sit around a low circular table. To one side is a work desk. Internet access is wireless (surcharge). Bathrooms have makeup mirrors, hairdryers, and heated towel rails. All Lake View rooms open out onto balconies.

La Palmeraie - A buffet breakfast is offered among the diminutive palms that give this airy restaurant its name. Located off the grand hall on the first floor, La Palmeraie offers lake views through its floor-to-ceiling windows. Even on a cloudy day, the glass ceiling fills it with natural morning light.
La Brasserie du Palace - Timber floors and square wooden tables lend La Brasserie the easy-going feel of a local bistro. In one section tables are draped in tablecloths and finery for a more elegant dining touch. The south-facing restaurant gets plenty of natural light and the scattering of plants provide a tranquil touch. Food and drinks are available all day and range from garden salads to Swiss classics like Zurich-style veal. Pasta, club sandwiches, and a special Amrita Wellness menu fill out the options.
Jaan - The Montreux Palace's flagship first-floor restaurant serves a refined French cuisine with the occasional subtle Oriental touch from Cambodia. The boneless roast Vendée pigeon, for instance, comes with parsley besprinkled polenta and a sauce lightly spiced with cumin.
Harry's Bar - A snappy New York ambience reigns in this low-lit nocturnal locale. Night owls can accompany cocktails with a late night meal, with anything from Chinese dishes through to sirloin steak. Live jazz adds to the ambiance from Monday to Saturday.
La Rose d'Or - Next door to the Jaan restaurant, La Rose d'Or is a bright little piano bar where warm timber colors dominate. Chips and similar snacks are available to accompany drinks.
La Terrasse du Petit Palais - Across the road from the main hotel building, small round tables are set upon a terrace bursting with flowers and offering views directly over Lake Geneva. Favored by guests especially on summer evenings, the terrace restaurant offers a salad buffet and a range of grilled fish and meat options.
