Hotel Information: Built in traditional style during the 1990s, this hotel is made up of flat roofed, white cubic villas forming a series of terraces overlooking the sea. The complex is set in 20 acres of landscaped grounds with a private beach. The reception lies in an airy lobby with a cream tiled floor and potted palms. One side is glazed and opens onto a terrace with sea views. Most guests are summer holiday makers.
Amenity highlights: Besides the private beach, this hotel boasts excellent sport and leisure facilities, including a health club, an outdoor pool and a tennis court. There is a conference room with a capacity of 250, and a meeting room for 10. The hotel also has its own helicopter and can offer private helicopter tours of Mykonos and the surrounding islands.
Insider tip: Visitors can take the ferry from Mykonos to the tiny island of Delos - one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece. The sacred island is the mythical birthplace of famous twins Apollo and Artemis, and it developed as a centre of Apollo worship in the 8th century BC. If you're feeling energetic, climb up 113m (371 feet) Mt Kythnos to catch the great views from the summit.
Rooms
Santa Marina Resort & Villas, Ornos, has 90 guestrooms, all of which have balconies and verandahs overlooking the sea. All rooms have tiled floors, light-colored wooden furniture, cool cotton bedcovers and desks with dial-up Internet connection (surcharge).
Please note: the hotel is built into the hillside and features many steps and staircases. Those with walking difficulties should ask for rooms close to the lifts.

Recreation
Jet skis are available for hire through July and August. It is possible to arrange scuba diving tours, and the company concerned can collect guests directly from the hotel. It is also possible to rent motor boats and sailing boats, with an accompanying skipper, from the nearby marina.
Other beaches of note on the island are Elia, which is well equipped for water sports such as water skiing, and Paradiso, Mykonos's largest beach. Ftelia, on north side of the island, is the best place for windsurfing.

Dining
Beach bar and restaurant - Located on the hotel's private beach, this restaurant serves a selection of barbecued meat and fish dishes, plus of good choice of fresh seasonal salads. The ambience is informal and fun. Open for lunch only.
Pool bar and restaurant - Located on a large terrace overlooking the outdoor pool, this restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is served buffet style, while the lunchtime menu focuses on typical Mediterranean dishes, hors d'oeuvres, healthy colorful salads, and sandwiches.
Marine Club - Formerly the hotel's gourmet restaurant, the Marine Club is now used exclusively for private functions, such as weddings. It occupies a wide terrace with views over the sea.
Nighttime Restaurant - This open-air restaurant opens for dinner only. The menu features gourmet cuisine, with an emphasis on fresh fish and seafood. Casual/formal dress code: jackets not necessary but no swimwear, shorts, or t-shirts.
