Hotel Information: The Xpu-Há (pronounced ish-poo-HA) Palace is designed for vacationers seeking a natural environment in an intimate setting with the convenience of all-inclusive living. Ecological tours and programs are in addition to regular resort activities such as volleyball.

Xpu-Ha Palace offers 144 guestrooms located in two-story bungalows scattered throughout the grounds. Bungalows are brightly colored and have steeply sloped, Mayan-style thatched roofs. Spacious decks are furnished with hammocks, tables, and chairs. Room décor includes white, roughly textured walls; pale granite floors; rattan headboards; stone nightstands with reading lamps and candleholders. Minibars are restocked every two days with bottled water, sodas, and domestic beer. Rooms include two-person jetted tubs behind the bed; bathrooms have two-person stall showers. Wireless Internet access is complimentary.

This Riviera Maya resort features ecological tours and a small zoo. It also offers a range of water sports, including kayaking and snorkeling, and a fitness center.

Xpu-Ha Palace is located at the south end of Xpu-Há Bay and offers opportunities for snorkeling, diving, or deep-sea fishing trips (surcharges for all). Guests of Xpu-Ha Palace All Inclusive enter a dramatic open-air reception area, from which a long, snake-shaped, thatched roof palapa honoring Kukulkan, the Mayan snake-god, stretches. The palapa leads through an open-air zoo of large, natural-environment cages containing coatimundis, a tiger cat, and spider monkeys to a six-story palapa shading an open-air lobby.

The center of the lobby floor depicts the Mayan calendar. Xpu-Ha's lobby houses a tour desk, computers, and a bar/lounge with dance music nightly. A paved path winding through the resort's grounds is popular among bicyclists, walkers, and joggers. Along the path are a beauty shop and a children’s club that provides supervised activities for children ages 4–12 as well as a children's pool. A large swimming pool is divided into sections for adults, adolescents, and children, and there are eight spa treatment rooms. Weather-related policies

• In the event that a hurricane directly hits any Palace Resort or Le Blanc Spa Resort while guests are at the resort, the hotel will provide a certificate for a return stay to the original resort for the number of original nights.
  A certificate will be offered if the U.S. National Weather Center issues a Category One Hurricane warning or higher to the area and the hurricane directly hits any Palace Resort or Le Blanc Spa Resort. The certificate will be valid for travel April 15 – December 15, 2008. It is non transferable and not redeemable for cash. Space is subject to availability and blackout periods apply. The policy excludes day of departure. Airfare and transfers are not included. This policy is for individual travel and groups booked through this Web site. It does not apply to groups booked directly with Palace Resorts or Le Blanc Spa Resort. Groups contracted directly with Palace Resorts/Le Blanc Spa Resort shall refer to their specific contract policies. Airline ticket holders are subject to airlines’ policies and guidelines. This policy is subject to change or may be discontinued without notice.
• There are no hotel penalties for all cancellations 72 hours or less before a hurricane strikes. Guests must contact the travel professional they booked their vacation package through to cancel. No-show penalties will also be waived up to five days after the original traveling dates.
• If guests choose to transfer their reservation to an alternate destination offered by Palace Resorts (Except Le Blanc), the hotel will offer rooms at the same rate based on availability. In the event that rates are lower at the relocating hotel, the hotel will issue a credit for the difference. If Le Blanc guests choose to transfer their reservation to any Palace Resort, the hotel will issue a credit for the difference in rate.
• If guests wish to postpone their vacation and travel at a later date to the original resort they booked, the hotel will protect the original rate for travel up to one year after the original departure date. Bookings must be rescheduled within 30 days after a hurricane strikes. This offer is based on availability and blackout periods apply. Rate protection will only apply to the original number of nights and guests booked. (Additional nights or guests will be booked at current rate). No name changes are allowed.
