Recreation

Children have their own swimming pool and playground to enjoy at Riu Playacar. Two large pools, two lighted, hard-surface tennis courts, and gear for various water sports provide plenty of recreational opportunities. For workouts, guests can head to the fitness center on Mexican Street at Riu Yucatan.

Playacar Club de Golf is a par 72, 18-hole course in Playa del Carmen, 1 km (less than a mile) away. The Riviera Maya is famous for water activities, horseback riding, biking, and hiking. All off-site sports incur surcharges.

El Porche - The resort’s main restaurant is located at the center of the complex. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets are served, with international and different theme dinners served twice a week.

Turquesa - In the beach area, this open-air restaurant opens for lunch and dinner. Dinner selections are from either a Mediterranean or steakhouse menu.

Policies
Cancellation policy: If rooms are cancelled within 72 hours prior to arrival or if guests do not arrive, a one-night penalty will apply except during the Christmas and New Year period and during February and March when a three-night penalty will apply.
