Riu Lupita's two pools include one with a shallow children's area. The hotel's beach club is on Playa del Carmen's main beach, and bustles with activity at all times. (Shuttle transportation to the beach club is provided every half-hour from morning until early evening.) The beach club has a snack bar and lounge-chair service.

All non-motorized water sports—including windsurfing, snorkeling, and kayaking—are included in the All-Inclusive plan. There are two floodlit, hard-surface tennis courts on site, available day and night.
