Aventura Spa Palace All Inclusive offers 1,266 guestrooms in nine three-story buildings without elevators. Rooms feature two-person marble-platform spa tubs illuminated by baby spotlights. Balconies or ground-floor terraces provide sea, garden, or pool views. Decor includes pale-tile floors with decorative bands and white walls, ceilings, and crown molding. Recreation

Swimming in the sea in front of the resort is prohibited, but along the resort's 860-meter (940-yard) oceanfront are two placid saltwater inlets for swimming, water sports, and snorkeling. The inlets' sandy sides are furnished with lounge chairs and thatched-roof palapas for shade.

Palapas also border the resort's two freshwater freeform swimming pools, each containing jetted areas, swim-up bars, and shallow-water shelves for lounge chairs. The north pool measures 82 meters (90 yards) long and the South pool 206 meters (225 yards). Adjacent to the north pool is a rectangular sports pool with volleyball net.

A two-story pavilion with a stained-glass ceiling houses a heated pool approximately 13.75 meters (15 yards) square and two, eight-person spa tubs flank a cold plunge pool. The pool's expansive deck is furnished with thickly cushioned wrought-iron lounge chairs.

Kayaks and snorkeling gear are provided. An introductory scuba-diving lesson in the resort's dive pool is complimentary, and scuba-diving instruction and excursions are available through an independent operator for surcharges.

Fronted by a sea-view window-wall, an air-conditioned fitness center contains weight machines, cardio machines, free weights, and exercise rooms for classes such as spinning, aerobics, tae-bo, tai-chi, resistance-ball, and Pilates. A health spa comprises 95 rooms in a central building; in four thatched-roof pavilions above the inlets; and in two couples' palapas. A temazcal (sweat lodge) is also available. Treatments include massage, body wraps and scrubs, hydrotherapy, facials, and hair and nail care (surcharges for all spa products, services, and treatments). Guests pay surcharges to use the spa's principal women's and men's sections, each featuring scented saunas and steam rooms, jetted footbaths, six-person spa tubs flanking a plunge pool, Swiss showers, and a relaxation lounge. Guests not purchasing a spa service can use the facilities for a $25 fee per day, per person. The spa also has a boutique.

Know Before You Go

Weather-related policies

• In the event that a hurricane directly hits any Palace Resort or Le Blanc Spa Resort while guests are at the resort, the hotel will provide a certificate for a return stay to the original resort for the number of original nights.
  A certificate will be offered if the U.S. National Weather Center issues a Category One Hurricane warning or higher to the area and the hurricane directly hits any Palace Resort or Le Blanc Spa Resort. The certificate will be valid for travel April 15 – December 15, 2008. It is non transferable and not redeemable for cash. Space is subject to availability and blackout periods apply. The policy excludes day of departure. Airfare and transfers are not included. This policy is for individual travel and groups booked through this Web site. It does not apply to groups booked directly with Palace Resorts or Le Blanc Spa Resort. Groups contracted directly with Palace Resorts/Le Blanc Spa Resort shall refer to their specific contract policies. Airline ticket holders are subject to airlines’ policies and guidelines. This policy is subject to change or may be discontinued without notice.
• There are no hotel penalties for all cancellations 72 hours or less before a hurricane strikes. Guests must contact the travel professional they booked their vacation package through to cancel. No-show penalties will also be waived up to five days after the original traveling dates.
• If guests choose to transfer their reservation to an alternate destination offered by Palace Resorts (Except Le Blanc), the hotel will offer rooms at the same rate based on availability. In the event that rates are lower at the relocating hotel, the hotel will issue a credit for the difference. If Le Blanc guests choose to transfer their reservation to any Palace Resort, the hotel will issue a credit for the difference in rate.
• If guests wish to postpone their vacation and travel at a later date to the original resort they booked, the hotel will protect the original rate for travel up to one year after the original departure date.
