Recreation
On-site on floor 18 are a 15-metre indoor heated pool, sauna, spa tub, and small gym with exercise machines such as a treadmill and bike.
Approximately 200 metres away are the Queen Victoria Gardens with expansive walking and jogging tracks. A popular exercise route also extends right along the Yarra River via the Southbank Promenade (a similar distance from the apartments). Albert Park is less than 2 km away and encompasses some 225 hectares of sporting and recreational facilities for jogging, cycling, swimming, walking, diving, netball, tennis, indoor cricket, squash, cricket, soccer, baseball, hockey, lawn bowls, boating, golf, and table tennis.

Opened in 2002, the Mantra Southbank are located within Melbourne’s arts and entertainment district, just 200 metres from Southbank Promenade’s host of restaurants, cafés, and boutiques, and approximately the same distance from the Concert Hall, Arts Centre, and National Gallery on St Kilda Road. The central business district is 0.5 km away, across the Yarra River via a choice of bridges. The top floor of the 18-level apartment block houses the recreational facilities including a 15-metre indoor heated pool, sauna, spa tub, and gym.
A high-speed Internet kiosk is located on the ground floor between Olivers Kitchen restaurant and the foyer. Parking is secure, on-site, undercover, and complimentary. A mini bookshop in the lobby offers a range of popular titles and CDs for sale, and PlayStation games are available for hire from reception. Also available from reception (for purchase) are aromatherapy relaxation packs, kids’ fun activity packs, and a range of pantry packs of ready-made meals.
A complimentary local map highlighting fitness routes, key shops, and major points of interest is available from the front desk/concierge staff. A convenience store selling many basic staple items for the kitchen is located less than 0.5 km away. The apartment block is home to permanent, long-term, and short-term residents. Driving direction from Melbourne Airport (MEL): Exit the airport and take the Tullamarine Freeway, heading south for approximately 10 km and following sign-posted directions to the city. The freeway becomes the Citylink Tollway at Strathmore. Continue for approximately 11 km. Bear left at the ramp at Port Melbourne. Continue along the Westgate Freeway eastbound at Port Melbourne for 1.1 km then continue along the Westgate Freeway through Southbank for 1.4 km. Take the ramp to access Power Street. Turn right at Kavanagh Street and then right at Southbank Boulevard. Turn left at a second Kavanagh Street, then left at Fanning Street. Finally, turn left at City Road, Southbank. Those travelling on the Citylink Tollway without an e-TAG device fitted should phone 13 26 29 (within Australia) in advance of travel to arrange an appropriate tollway pass or, if retrospective payment is required, the driver should phone the same phone number as soon as possible on the same day of travel to arrange payment.

Guests should ask at the airport information counter for the departure point for the shuttle service which stops at Pacific International Apartments - Southbank. Guests should stress that it is the “Southbank” property required (as there are other Pacific International Properties in Melbourne). Guests may book a return shuttle transfer with the front desk at the hotel (please allow at least 1–2 days notice if possible).
