The Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa features two outdoor pools which are open during summer. The Sky Pool is 18 meters by eight meters and may be used by guests of all ages. The 18 meters by 15 meters Diamond Pool may be used by guests over 16 years of age. Admission is JPY1,000 (US$8.50) for adults and JPY500 (US$4.25) for children. Guests have access to the health club at the neighboring Sakura Tower Takanawa Prince Hotel. Dumbbells, bench press, and squat stations with Olympic barbells are available, as well as strength-training machines, pulleys, and medicine and Swiss exercise balls. Stationary bikes and treadmills feature a personal monitor for TV or DVDs. Access to the health club is JPY2,100 (US$18) for hotel guests. Rates for personal trainers start at JPY3,150 (US$27) for 30 minutes. The health club is open from 6 AM to 10 PM. Guests under 16 years of age are not admitted.

Getting there: Guests are advised to take the airport limousine bus directly to the New Takanawa Prince Hotel. Alternately, guests may take the train from the airport station to Shinagawa Station, then walk two blocks to the hotel. Rental cars are not recommended for guests unfamiliar with this area.

Train schedules and directions (subject to change without notice): The JR Narita Express travels from the airport train station to Tokyo Station 37 times per day. The first train departs from the airport at 7:42 AM, the last at 9:43 PM. From Tokyo Station, guests should transfer to the JR Yamanote Line bound for Shinagawa. Guests should exit the train at Shinagawa. After passing through the turnstile, guests should exit the station by the Takanawa exit. At the bottom of the stairs, guests should veer left and cross the street at the crosswalk. After crossing the street, guests should then veer to the right, then turn left at the intersection and walk straight up the hill. The entrance to the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa is on the right side of the street, just before the first traffic signal light.
A free shuttle bus travels between the hotel and Shinagawa Station. From Shinagawa Station, guests should take the JR Yamanote Line to Tokyo Station. From Tokyo Station, the JR Narita Express travels to the airport 38 times per day. The first train departs from Tokyo Station at 6:30 AM, the last at 8:03 PM.

Instructions: Taxis leave from outside the arrival area on the first floor. Fixed fare taxis are provided by the Narita International Airport Taxi Council. Guests should ask the driver to stop at the ‘Shin Takanawa Prince Hotel’ (the name of the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Japanese), near Shinagawa Station.
