Insider tip: A half-mile south of Hale Pau Hana Resort is a beach of a different sort, a long, uncrowded stretch of sand called Keawakapu Beach. Next to the beach is a public parking lot. Signs point the way to the beach, which offers great snorkeling along its rocky northern terminus, terrific boogie boarding when the tradewinds blow, and long, tropical-fantasy walks. (Buildings along the beach seldom exceed palm-tree height, somewhat preserving the illusion the beachfront is undeveloped.)

Guests arriving after this time should contact management using the number on the reservation confirmation received after booking via this Web site.
Management will pass on the code to open the lock box on the door. The box contains a map of the property and key to the guestroom door.
Rooms
This beachfront Kihei resort offers individually decorated condo units in three buildings. Each condo at the Hale Pau Hana Resort includes an ocean-view lanai, ideal for whale-watching in winter and sunset-viewing year-round. Bright and airy condos are decorated island-style, with light colors and floral fabrics. All units have full kitchens. Only bedrooms are air-conditioned.
