The 17-floor Fortina Spa Resort, Sliema, has 148 modern, air-conditioned guestrooms decorated in soothing hues of cream and blue with maple wood furnishings and private balconies overlooking the hotel’s tropical gardens or Valetta’s city walls and the sea. In-room amenities include satellite TV with pay movies, espresso machines, Internet access, minibars and safes. En-suite bathrooms are equipped with separate tubs and showers, bathrobes, slippers, hairdryers and complimentary toiletries. The Therapeutic Spa Rooms also have their own private spa facilities and equipment including massage showers, detoxifying machines and therapeutic spa tubs.

Recreation

Guests can take a stroll through the tropical gardens, play mini-golf on the hotel putting green or enjoy a game of giant draughts. The spa centre offers both pilates and yoga classes for individual or group sessions (surcharge applies). The hotel invites guests to enjoy a free introductory diving class at its diving centre (25 kilometres away) and offers wide range of courses for beginners or more advanced divers (surcharge applies), as well as equipment rental. The hotel also offers boat trips to the island of Comino (May to October only), and harbour cruises all year round.

Property Amenities

Set in tropical gardens, the four outdoor pools offer a complimentary sun bed and towel service as well as a hot tub; two of the saltwater swimming pools are situated right on the water’s edge and offer great views of the walled city of Valletta, and one has a swim-up bar. The onsite Spa Centre offers a vast range of treatments and therapies including thalassotherapy (guests booking All-Inclusive rooms are entitled to two pool treatments a day as part of their spa package), Thai and Chinese massage, Cleopatra milk baths, Turkish mud baths, light therapy, wraps, scrubs and a wealth of other beauty therapies (surcharges apply). Those feeling active can head to the fitness centre which offers gym equipment, aerobics classes and an indoor heated pool and spa tub. As well as seven à la carte restaurants the hotel has four bars including the cocktail bar, situated indoors by the lido and the venue for live entertainment and dancing every evening, and the island bar which is set in the middle of the swimming pool.

La Vallette - Main self-service buffet restaurant situated on the lower ground floor with panoramic view of Malta’s capital, offering a variety of dishes with vegetarian options available.

Hibiki - Japanese restaurant overlooking the garden. Serves sushi and sashimi as well as other Japanese specialties from an à la carte menu. Tepanyaki grills also available (surcharge applies), and vegetarian options offered. Terrace for outdoor dining. Open daily for lunch and dinner.

Canthai - Chinese and Thai cuisine served à la carte in this themed Oriental restaurant. Vegetarian options offered. Open daily for lunch and dinner.

Tigne Brasserie - Informal à al carte restaurant overlooking Valetta’s city walls and across the water. Serves a range of French, Mediterranean and traditional Maltese dishes as well as vegetarian options offered. Open daily for dinner.

Qui-Si-Sana - Healthy-eating restaurant with a soothing ambience and modern furnishings. Dishes prepared as healthily as possible; caters to special dietary requirements. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
