Hotel Information: A narrow side road off the Transpeninsular Highway leads to this series of secluded, white buildings on the cliffs. Calinda's open-air lobby affords views of the ocean. Pathways wind through tropical and desert landscaping to the guestrooms.

Amenity highlights: Terraced wooden decks leading down the hillside feature three geometric pools of deep-blue tile. The adult pool has a swim-up bar, the activities pool features daily games and contests, and the third pool is for children. Farther down the hillside are three spa tubs, each on its own deck with lounge chairs and umbrellas. A semi-private beach is protected by rock formations that break the thunderous waves, creating a shallow lagoon area safe for swimming.

Insider tip: The Calinda is one of the few resorts with direct views of Cabo’s famous El Arco rock formation. The best place to see it is from the bottommost spa tub at sunset.

Spread out along the cliff, pure white buildings house the Calinda’s 125 spacious and airy rooms. All rooms have private balconies or terraces with views of the ocean or gardens. The Calinda Cabo San Lucas offers three pools: an adult pool with swim-up bar, an activities pool, and a children’s pool.
