Hotel Information: Upgraded from its Wild West past, today a white-and-brass façade graces the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino. Guests enter through a lobby of white-marble floors beneath recessed mirror ceilings and brass-and-glass chandeliers.
Amenity highlights: This Las Vegas hotel has it all: a casino and poker room, headliner entertainment, fine and casual dining, and a health spa with fitness equipment and salon services (surcharges). The revamped, seasonal outdoor pool ("The Tank") surrounds a tank with live sharks and has a waterslide that goes right through the center of the tank.

Spacious rooms at The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino are housed in an 18-story North Tower and a 22-story South Tower. Rooms in the North Tower are convenient to the casino and the Fremont Street Experience. Entertainment
Under a vault of two million light bulbs and employing a 550,000-watt sound system, a four-block pedestrians-only stretch of downtown Las Vegas called Fremont Street Experience presents periodic sound-and-light shows from dusk to midnight. Other day-and-night entertainment on the street includes live music, classic-car displays, and holiday festivals. Like nine other downtown casino hotels, this hotel opens directly onto Fremont Street, creating a lively flow of pedestrian traffic.
The Broadway hit, Defending the Caveman, is a comedic play depicting the ways men and women relate. The Las Vegas show stars actor and comedian Kevin Burke.
Soft lighting, ornate canopies, and brass chandeliers harkening back to the original hotel's "gambling hall" distinguish the high-energy casino, which offers 45,000 square feet of slots, video poker, video keno, blackjack, craps, roulette, Pai Gow poker, Caribbean poker, and race and sports betting. In addition, the Golden Nugget offers a 10-table smoke-free poker room with daily Texas Hold’em tournaments.
