Hotel Information: Upgraded from its Wild West past, today a white-and-brass façade graces the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino. Guests enter through a lobby of white-marble floors beneath recessed mirror ceilings and brass-and-glass chandeliers.
Amenity highlights: This Las Vegas hotel has it all: a casino and poker room, headliner entertainment, fine and casual dining, and a health spa with fitness equipment and salon services (surcharges). The revamped, heated outdoor pool ("The Tank") surrounds a 20,000-gallon aquarium with live sharks and has a three-story waterslide that goes right through the center. The pool area also features seven private cabanas (surcharge).
Rooms
Spacious rooms at The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino are housed in an 18-story North Tower and a 22-story South Tower. Rooms in the North Tower are convenient to the casino and the Fremont Street Experience. Rooms in the South Tower are located near the parking garage, conference center, The Tank pool/aquarium, and retails stores.
Thoughtful in-room touches include sitting areas or living rooms, TVs in armoires, separate marble vanity areas with lighted makeup/shaving mirrors, and semi-canopy beds.

Renovation Notice
A new West Tower is being constructed to house approximately 500 additional rooms. Construction is scheduled for completion at the end of 2010 (completion date subject to change).
The hotel assures that it will make every effort to minimize construction noise and related disturbance.
Recreation
The Golden Nugget Hotel includes a seasonal outdoor pool surrounding a live-shark tank with a waterslide that goes rights through the middle of the tank. A spa tub is also located in the pool area. Another fitness and exercise option is the heated outdoor pool, known as "The Tank." Displayed in the hotel lobby is the Hand of Faith, an 875-troy-ounce (60-pound) gold nugget. Discovered in Australia in 1980, this enormous nugget was found with a metal detector just six inches below ground.

Under a vault of two million light bulbs and employing a 550,000-watt sound system, a four-block pedestrians-only stretch of downtown Las Vegas called Fremont Street Experience presents periodic sound-and-light shows from dusk to midnight. Other day-and-night entertainment on the street includes live music, classic-car displays, and holiday festivals. Like nine other downtown casino hotels, this hotel opens directly onto Fremont Street, creating a lively flow of pedestrian traffic.
Impressionist, singer, and entertainer Gordie Brown is famous for his comedy and impressions of celebrities such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jack Nicholson, and Sylvester Stallone, as well as Las Vegas icons like Elvis Presley and Sammy Davis, Jr.
Dance the night away at Gold Diggers, Golden Nugget's spot for cocktails, DJs, and balcony views overlooking the Fremont Street Experience. Open nights Tuesday - Sunday.
Soft lighting, ornate canopies, and brass chandeliers harkening back to the original hotel's "gambling hall" distinguish the high-energy casino, which offers 45,000 square feet of slots, video poker, video keno, blackjack, craps, roulette, Pai Gow poker, Caribbean poker, and race and sports betting. In addition, the Golden Nugget offers a 10-table smoke-free poker room with daily Texas Hold’em tournaments.

Red Sushi - Open evening until late night. Features sushi and sashimi, as well as Japanese sake and beer selections.
