Amenity highlights: A traditional Cypriot stone village has been recreated in the hotel’s grounds, complete with vine-covered houses, a working chapel, courtyard, and a Greek taverna. In total there are four restaurants on site, and themed nights are held in a contemporary piano bar and in the Cascades restaurant, decorated to resemble a cave. The hotel’s indoor pool is housed in a Grecian style complex, with adjoining spa facilities and a gym.
Insider tip: Shipwrecks, unusual underwater rock formations, exotic sea life and clear waters make Golden Bay one of the most popular scuba diving sites in Cyprus. It is also widely believed to be the site of the ancient lost city of Atlantis, although this has yet to be proved. The hotel offers scuba diving through its partnership with a local PADI registered centre (surcharge).
Rooms
The Golden Bay Beach has a total of 193 air-conditioned guestrooms housed in a six-storey seafront building. All rooms have direct or side sea views, and feature balconies or terraces with planted garden boxes. Rich earth colours of terracotta, plum or green are used for fabrics and upholstery. Contemporary light ash-effect furniture and framed prints give rooms a modern feel.
All rooms include bathrooms with bidets, telephones and complimentary toiletries. Dressing areas have fitted wardrobes and hairdryers. Amenities include multi-channel radios, satellite television with in-house movie channels (surcharge), direct-dial phones and dial-up Internet ports. Mini suites have terraces with hot tubs shared between maximum five suites.

Les Etoiles - Contemporary restaurant with red and black seating, red carpet and white linens, floor-to-ceiling draped windows and lighting effects. Serves an à la carte French and Italian-inspired menu with fine wines at dinner. Sample dishes include Filo Tower with Smoked Salmon, and Ostrich and Pork Scaloppini.
The Yacht Club - Bright, modern restaurant with light wood, brown and cream décor. Opens onto a decked terrace area overlooking the bay. Serves hot and cold breakfast buffet in the morning, light snacks and salads, afternoon teas and cakes during the day, and cocktails on the terrace in the evening.
Cascades - With a cave effect décor complete with rock formations, waterfalls and plants, the poolside restaurant serves summertime lunch buffets of pasta salads, fish, meat dishes such as moussaka, and fruit based desserts. A la carte menu and vegetarian dishes also available.
The Ouzeri - Offering a slice of traditional Cypriot rural life and cuisine, The Ouzeri is a recreated village complete with vine-covered façades, a working chapel, and a courtyard set with tables and chairs. Serves meze dishes including Halloumi Salad, Afelia, Souvlakia and Keftedes. Traditional music.
