Special Check-in Instructions

Guests are asked to arrive at the inn for check-in by 7 PM. Guests arriving later are asked to contact the hotel upon making a reservation.

Rooms

Guestrooms are located adjacent to the hotel garden. Traditional Japanese interiors feature tatami reed flooring, sliding shoji doors made of wood and rice paper, and zabuton floor cushions. All rooms include yukata cotton bathrobes and tea makers with complimentary green tea.

Property Amenities

Originally the home of a wealthy Kyoto merchant, the inn contains a private garden with a pond and tea room. Separate men’s and women’s communal tourmaline baths are available, as well as a private bath area containing three tubs with hot spring minerals that can be rented out for a surcharge.

Know Before You Go

Important registration notice: The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare requires all international visitors to submit their passport number and nationality when registering at any lodging facility (inns, hotels, motels, etc.). Additionally, lodging proprietors are required to photocopy passports for all registering guests and keep the photocopy on file.

Private bath areas can be rented between 4 PM and 10 PM. Guests are asked to reserve the area prior to arrival.
As parking is limited, guests requiring a parking space are asked to request one prior to arrival.
