The games arcade is within five km (three miles) of the hotel. Hirano Table Tennis Center offers traditional table tennis tables and is dedicated only to the game of table tennis. Surcharges apply for casual use, and the center is approximately four km (2.5 miles) away. Lake Forest golf course in Kyoto is open to nonmembers and offers 45 holes with surcharge for playing. The golf course is within 10 km (six miles).

Location Details

Kansai International Airport (KIX): Approximate travel time is 1 hour 15 minutes and distance is 120 km (80 miles).

Getting there: Guests can arrange to travel by taxi to the hotel, or by train or bus to Kyoto station, and transfer to the subway train line to the hotel, or take the complimentary shuttle from Kyoto station to the hotel that leaves every 15 minutes. Train schedules and directions (subject to change without notice): The JR Haruka line travels from the airport train station to Kyoto Station daily. Guests can depart at Kyoto station and take a taxi to the hotel or depart at Kyoto station and transfer to Karasuma-line, getting off at Karasuma-Oike station (K08), from the Number 1 exit. The hotel is approximately 400 meters (440 yards) from the exit.

Instructions: Taxi stands are located outside the Passenger Terminal Building on the first floor. Guests should instruct the driver to travel toward Kyoto, toward the Kyoto Imperial Palace; the hotel is within 500 meters (540 yards) of the Palace.

Know Before You Go

The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare requires all international visitors to submit their passport number and nationality when registering at any lodging facility (inns, hotels, motels, etc.). Additionally, lodging proprietors are required to photocopy passports for all registering guests and keep the photocopy on file.

Patio - This casual café is located on the first floor and serves western-style cuisine with continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Open from early morning till evening, the café seats 70 guests, and serves drinks during non-meal times.

Hamatoku - A 90-seat restaurant serving Japanese cuisine from early morning till late, every day. Cushions are placed on the tatami mat floor in traditional style.
