Facing the Lamai Bay, the Quan Spa enjoys much privacy and sea views. Lush tropical plants and flowers are used to define space and provide privacy, while oriental sculptures and fountains further accentuate the setting. The spa features six outdoor seafront thatched roof salas for outdoor massages, and four indoor treatment rooms in air-conditioned comfort. A pavilion spa tub, steam room, cold plunge pool, fitness center, and shower facilities complete the offerings.

The Quan Spa emphasizes body and beauty treatments using organic products and potent natural Thai ingredients. The product brand, Jurlique, originates in Australia, and is incorporated along with tropical fruits and Thai herbs in all the treatments.

Rooms

Guestrooms and villas at the Renaissance Koh Samui Resort feature views of the landscaped gardens and ocean. The Deluxe guestrooms are housed in a seven-story building, while the villas are enclosed in a densely-planted garden. All rooms have teak wood contemporary Thai-style furniture, wooden wall panels, Asian décor, rich fabrics, and teak wood flooring in high gloss finish. White bed linen, curtains, and vases with fresh flowers complement the warm wood tones. Recreation

The Renaissance Koh Samui Resort features a multi-level beachfront pool, and a 50- meter (160-foot) garden lap pool. Quan Spa, a full-service health spa, is located by the beachfront. Complimentary kayaks, snorkeling gear, and mountain bikes are available for rent, and a playground is located near the guestroom building. For an enriching cultural experience, guests can also sign up for Thai boxing, Thai cooking, or Thai massage lessons (surcharge applies). The 24-hour fitness center has views of the landscaped gardens and includes free weights, cardio, and weight machines. Yoga lessons are offered on the resort’s quiet beachfront (surcharge).

The tour desk can assist with booking tours for dive trips to Koh Tao (Turtle Island), island hopping trips, elephant trekking, and hiking. Location Details

Koh Samui Airport (USM): Approximate travel time is 30 minutes and distance is 30 km (19 miles).

Getting there: A taxi counter at Samui Airport provides transfers to all hotels on the island. The taxis have no meters and charges are on a per way basis. Airport shuttles are also available from Bangkok Airways counter, and travel time will depend on the number of passengers to drop off. For convenience, the hotel airport transfer includes an airport representative to meet guests after the baggage claim area. Rental cars are not recommended for travelers unfamiliar with this area.
