Reached by a winding road through the gates of a 2,000-acre private parkland estate, the Cromlix House Hotel is a converted Victorian family residence complete with a carved sandstone doorway, antique grandfather clocks and ancestral portraits. Complimentary newspapers are offered in the wood-panelled lounge, which is decorated with oriental-style rugs and freshly cut flowers. Afternoon tea with homemade cakes is served overlooking the gardens in the conservatory. The hotel also features a library lounge with dark leather armchairs. The public areas feature open log fires during the winter months. A private stone-walled chapel with stained glass windows and a vaulted wooden ceiling is available for small weddings and christenings. Complimentary parking is available on site.
