Down a flight of wood stairs in front of the pool, a tiny, pebbly beach provides access to the Gulf's green water and to a swimming raft anchored in the lee of one of the resort's two piers. Rooms
The Hyatt Key West Resort and Spa offers 120 guestrooms in three pastel-colored, four-story buildings. All rooms include private balconies furnished with two chairs and a cocktail table. Views are of the Gulf of Mexico or Key West. Decor features pale-wood wainscoting with matching furniture, cream-colored walls, pastel prints, and green-and-gold fabrics, including carpets. Furnishings include a coffee table and one or two upholstered reading chairs. Most rooms include a double sofa bed, but this is not guaranteed. Amenities include wireless Internet access (surcharge).

Renovation Notice
This resort is renovating Nicola's restaurant, starting June 8, 2008. The renovation includes an upgraded boardwalk with energy-efficient material and a remodeled and upgraded kitchen. Meals will still be served on the covered veranda. Scheduled for completion early August, 2008 (completion dates subject to change).
The resort assures that it will make every effort to minimize construction noise and related disturbance.

Recreation
The hotel has two piers on the Gulf of Mexico. One offers parasail flights and Jet Ski and speedboat rentals. From the other, guests embark on scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and fishing excursions. Swimmers sunbathe on a raft moored near one of the piers. The resort's 60-foot sailboat provides sunset cruises. The hotel also offers bicycle and scooters rentals.
