Hotel Information: Guests pick up keys in Kapaa before driving to the resort. Condos are located in low-rise buildings set atop a cliff with gardens, a gazebo, and ocean views. Active families and couples enjoy ample activities at the resort and within the area, including golf, hiking, and kayaking.
Amenity highlights: The resort's recreation pavilion and barbecue grills are high on a bluff overlooking Hanalei Bay. Set amid tropical gardens, this resort also offers a swimming pool, spa, sauna, putting green, and four lighted tennis courts. An activities center rents coolers, beach chairs beach chairs, bicycles, and videos, and offers discounted admission to the Princeville Health Club and Spa.
Insider tip: Hanalei Bay, three miles west of the resort, is a lovely place for a stroll and a great vantage point for ocean sunsets. Locals often play Hawaiian tunes on slack key guitars around the beach pavilion. Later, hungry sunset-watchers head for the casual restaurants lining nearby streets.
Rooms
This condo resort has 220 apartments in nine, three-story buildings. Rooms are cooled by ceiling fans and fresh air (no air conditioning). Individually decorated in island style, all units have carpeted floors and sliding glass doors opening onto private lanais. All units have fully-equipped kitchens and two bathrooms with full bathtub/shower combinations. Condo amenities include washer/dryers and two televisions. Housekeeping staff maintain rooms twice weekly.

The resort’s activities desk rents bicycles, videos, ice chests, and beach chairs. Guests enjoy a freeform pool, sauna, and quiet spa tub for adults only. Tennis rackets are complimentary for use on four lighted tennis courts. After practicing at an on-site putting green, golfers receive discounted greens fees at two Robert Trent Jones-designed golf courses—45 holes in all—next to the resort. Guests receive discounted access to the Princeville Club fitness center and spa.
The surf here is too rough for swimming—calmer beaches are three miles away at Anini and Hanalei Bay. The Kalalau hiking trail departs from the western end of route 56 at Kee Beach, 10 miles away. Kayaking is popular at Hanalei River (easy) or along the Na Pali coast (for seasoned paddlers only).
