This golf resort's beachfront extends 411 meter (1,350 feet) along the Caribbean Sea and features thatched shades, hammocks, and a massage cabana. Sprawling some 91 meter (300 feet) around a rock-garden waterfall, the resort's main pool offers daytime activities and features a 40-seat swimup bar. A round 30-person spa tub lies next to the pool.

Surrounded by a wood sundeck, a lagoon-style pool with swim-up bar encircles a spacious two-story open-air pavilion with bleached-wood ceiling and black-and-white tile floor sheltering a piano bar that opens nightly for singalong. Adjacent to the pool, a round spa tub accommodates 30 guests.

Use of kayaks, Sunfish and Hobie Cat sail boats, windsurfers, snorkeling gear, surf bikes, and Aquatrykes is part of the All-Inclusive Plan, as are water skiing, glass-bottom-boat trips, and catamaran rides. Scuba diving equipment and trips are also covered by the All-Inclusive Plan. Beginners can take resort-level course instruction (surcharge) and permitted to go on one diving trip per day. Divers with certification credentials are permitted two trips daily. The resort's dive center offers a certification course (surcharge).

Land sports include volleyball, outdoor chess, shuffleboard, basketball, tennis (two courts with lights and two without lights), and a 9-hole pitch-and-putt course.

This resort underwent a $14-million-dollar renovation and refurbishment project in 2005. Improvements include a new lobby and rooms; porte cochere entry; the Red Lane Spa, featuring indigenous ingredients; and butler service in superior suites.

A long drive lined by tall palm trees leads to the resort. An Italian Renaissance-style open-air lobby contains a fountain pool, twin spiral wrought-iron staircases, potted plants, and overstuffed seating. Near the lobby, a grove of tall trees shades an area for quiet contemplation and conversation. Two-person hammocks are available throughout the resort.

An air-conditioned health spa with two couples' rooms, one featuring a two-person spa tub, offers massage, body wraps and scrubs, hydrotherapy, and facials, while a separate beauty salon offers hair braiding, paraffin treatments, waxing, and hair and nail care (surcharges for all services).

The spa occupies a two-story building with both Caribbean accents such as bleached-wood ceilings and mahogany trim and Roman accents such as rose marble. It features a semi-open two-story pavilion decorated with Roman wall paintings and potted plants that contain a 16-person spa tub, warm and cool plunge pools, and pairs of saunas and steam rooms in a marble shower area.

The lower level also includes an open-air fitness center with cardio and weight machines as well as free weights. Depending on demand, an instructor provides various workout classes such as aerobics, yoga, Pilates, and kickboxing.

After-dark entertainment is presented in the Forum, an air-conditioned theater with tiered banquette seating. Daytime activities include dance lessons, beer-drinking contests, fashion shows, and athletic games. A games room contains pool tables and slot machines. A kiosk in the upper lobby provides high-speed Internet access for surcharges.
