This hotel has 386 guestrooms in a 26-story building located in the Texas Medical Center and linked to several other buildings via skywalks. All rooms provide premium cable channels, refrigerators, and coffee/tea makers. High-speed Internet access is available for a daily surcharge that includes local calls and long-distance access. Recreation

The indoor pool is a great place to cool off after a muggy Houston day. A spa tub and a fitness center are on site; the fitness center has cardiovascular exercise equipment and is open 24 hours a day to hotel guests.

Just a half-mile from the hotel is the 18-hole Hermann Golf Course, and the Memorial Golf Course, also 18 holes, is five miles away. Miniature golf is within 10 miles.

Jogging paths are within a half-mile, and tennis courts, bowling alleys, and mountain-biking trails are five miles from the hotel. Travelers can sail, water ski, and Jet Ski within 35 miles of the hotel. The beach is 45 miles away.

Property Amenities

This towering hotel is located in the middle of the Texas Medical Center, a 125-acre complex that includes hospitals, nursing and medical schools, and buildings with medical offices. Enclosed skywalks link the hotel to Methodist Hospital and the Scurlock and Smith Towers, among others. The hotel also provides complimentary transportation to sites within the complex, which encompasses a two-mile radius and has 42 institutions. Rice University is across the street from the hotel, and Rice Village, an area with restaurants and nightlife, is nearby.

Wireless Internet access is available on the first three floors of the hotel, which includes the lobby, restaurants, and other public spaces (surcharge). A business center has three computers with high-speed Internet access that guests can use for a fee, and other business services are offered as well. A connecting building contains several shops and a beauty salon. Self- and valet parking is available (surcharge for both).
