Recreation

Getting there: The best way to get to the hotel is by taxi. The Guangdong Victory Hotel also has a pick-up service (surcharge).

Getting around: The most convenient way to get around is by taxi, although the fare can easily mount in Guangzhou's traffic jams. Flagfall is RMB7 for the first 2 km (US$1 for the first 1.25 miles), RMB3 per km (US$0.50 per 0.6 miles) thereafter up to 15 km (9 miles), and then RMB4 per km (US$0.50 per 0.6 miles). During trade fairs, the hotel has a complimentary shuttle to both the China Export Commodities Fair and the Guangzhou International Exhibition Center. It also operates an hourly shuttle to Guangdong East Station from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM at a cost of RMB300 (US$36–$40). Two subway lines run across the city, with destinations in English and Chinese.
