Mountain Shadows Resort features 50 log homes in buildings that range from one to three stories. Privately owned cabins are individually decorated, may be smoke-free, and may have mountain or partial-mountain views. Small pets (surcharge) are accepted in some cabins. All accommodations feature separate sitting areas, fully equipped kitchens, gas fireplaces, gas grills, and decks with hot tubs. Some cabins also provide sofa beds, bathrooms with jetted tubs, VCRs, or DVD players.

Recreation

Available on site at Mountain Shadows Resort are a seasonal outdoor pool with a waterfall and walking trails in wooded areas. A clubhouse can be rented for parties and special events.

Among the many seasonal recreational opportunities are fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and white-water rafting. Downhill skiing and snowboarding are additional activities. More than 200 species of birds and 70 species of mammals (including black bears) reside in Great Smoky National Park. Freshwater fishing is available at many mountain streams (fishing licenses required). Gatlinburg Municipal Golf Course is 10 miles from the resort.

Located in Gatlinburg in the Great Smoky Mountains, Mountain Shadows Resort features 50 cabins in wooded surroundings. The Glades arts and crafts district is one mile from the resort, and Dollywood is 10.5 miles away. Guests check in at an office, which is open daily between 8 AM and 10 PM (hours subject to change). Walking trails are on site, as is a seasonal outdoor pool with a waterfall. A clubhouse is also available for rental.
