Renovation Notice
The Palm Tree Court & Spa is situated approximately two kilometres from the trunk of The Palm Jebel Ali, the manmade, palm-tree-shaped island. Development of Dubai Waterfront and The Palm Jebel Ali continues to the northwest of the resort; land profiling works are the most common activity. Although the island's crescent and the project's vessels are visible from the resort at a distance, they generally do not cause visual disturbance for guests. Sounds which resemble distant thunder can occasionally be heard.
In addition the island foundation is being completed 400 metres from the resort, and guests may notice some noise as a result of this
Recreation
Golfing enthusiasts can make use of the scenic championship standard, 9-hole, par 36, golf course (where the curtain-raiser to the Dubai Desert Classic takes place in March), while less-experienced golfers can work on their swing at the golfing academy. Guests can book deep-sea fishing trips on the hotel's two fishing boats, and the private beach offers facilities for windsurfing, catamaran-racing and banana boat rides. Back on dry land, children can go for camel and donkey rides along the sand, while adults can book for desert horse rides from the hotel stables. For indoor sports fans, a stately private snooker and billiards room is located in the Club Joumana clubhouse.
