The Cruise Room - This sophisticated bar opened to much hoopla the day after Prohibition was repealed, and was renovated in 1933 to resemble a lounge on RMS Queen Mary. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it remains a popular downtown institution. Genuine Art-Deco decor and wall panels depict light-hearted "toasts" from around the world. Open late, serving from a full bar and upscale pub menu. Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana - Murals of the Italian countryside and wood panels decorate this restaurant, which serves lunch and dinner from a menu that highlights a different Italian town or region each month.
