Hotel Information: Clad in Texas pink granite, this 30-story, elliptically shaped hotel welcomes guests with a circular driveway and a lushly landscaped outdoor fountain. Inside, the airy marble-floored lobby features a three-story Italian crystal chandelier, one of the largest in the world.
Amenity highlights: The Renaissance Dallas Hotel has two restaurants: a Western-themed steakhouse that also serves fresh Gulf seafood, and a more casual dining room showcasing Texas regional cuisine. The business center and health club are open 24 hours. An outdoor rooftop pool has an adjacent spa tub and, nearby, an observation deck provides commanding views of the Dallas skyline.
Insider tip: The hotel was originally designed as a perfectly round cylinder, but the model got warped when left in a car on a warm day. The architect had no time to repair the model, but it turned out that the hotel developers liked the idea of a pink-granite hotel with a sloping roof and an elliptical shape.

The 30-story Renaissance Dallas Hotel has 514 newly renovated guestrooms and suites, all non-smoking. Rooms include signature bedding: Thick mattress with separate pillowtop, down comforter with white cover, triple sheeting with 300-thread-count sheets, extra pillows, and decorative throws.
Upon check-in, guests may purchase the Wired-for-Business package, which includes high-speed Internet access, local calls, and long-distance access for a daily fee.
Additional amenities include compact refrigerators, work stations with ergonomic chairs, and complimentary newspaper delivery upon request. Bathrooms feature Lather toiletries and curved shower rods for extra room. An extra vanity with sink is located outside each bathroom.
