Cheyenne Mountain Resort

Hotel Information: Cheyenne Mountain Resort is composed of a cluster of eight lodge-style buildings overlooking a private lake, the adjacent country club's Pete Dye-designed golf course, and the vistas of the Rockies framing the resort's namesake, Cheyenne Mountain. A 40,000-square-foot conference center is close at hand, as are ski mountains, pools and many other leisure opportunities.

Amenity highlights: An on-site golf course, four swimming pools, a lake, and 18 tennis courts are a few of the many leisure options here. Two restaurants and a bar offer varied food and beverage choices.

With a media center and 40,000 square feet of conference space supported by dedicated staff, this Colorado Springs resort is an ideal meeting place. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the property.

Insider tip: The Will Rogers Shrine, located inside the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo three miles from the hotel, is a nod to one of America's great historical figures, humorist Will Rogers. The shrine, a kind of miniature castle, also provides a spectacular view of the Colorado Springs region. The zoo and shrine are open daily year-round. Entrance fee is $12 for adults, $6 for children under 12.
