The Berkeley was built in 1972, and follows on from the original 19th-century hotel of the same name formerly located on nearby Berkeley Street. Wood panelling in one of The Berkeley’s sitting rooms is taken from the original hotel. The Berkeley’s rooftop swimming pool has a retractable roof, and offers views of Knightsbridge and nearby Hyde Park. The Berkeley Health Club and Spa includes a gym with instructors, and offers a variety of treatments including massage, microdermabrasion, and LaStone body therapy.
