Pheasant Run Resort

Hotel Information: Located two miles from downtown St. Charles, this 250-acre resort primarily attracts families, leisure travelers, and conventioneers. Guests unwind in a lobby with a stone fireplace, rocking chairs, wood-beamed ceilings, and live piano music.

Amenity highlights: In addition to the resort’s own 18-hole golf course, guests have access to an adjacent 18-hole course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. An on-site health spa and salon provides a range of services (surcharge), including hot-stone and Swedish massage therapy, facials, and hair and nail care. Wireless Internet access (cost included in resort fee) is available throughout the resort, and there are 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Insider tip: St. Charles offers a number of antique shops and specialty boutiques throughout the downtown area, located two miles from the hotel. Hundreds of antique dealers sell their wares at the Kane County Flea Market, held the first weekend of every month.

The resort has a par-71, 18-hole championship golf course, and guests also enjoy privileges at the neighboring Prairie Landing, an 18-hole course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Guests can use three lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, an indoor splash pool with a spa tub, a seasonal outdoor splash pool, and an indoor-outdoor splash pool.

The Mario Tricoci Hair Salon and Day Spa offers 200 treatments (surcharge), including massage therapy, body treatments, facials, and hair and nail care. On-site meeting space, combined with two adjacent exposition centers, totals 100,000 square feet, including 45 meeting rooms, four ballrooms, and a 320-seat tiered auditorium.
