Recreation
The 36-hole golf course at the Imperial Lake View Hotel and Golf Club consists of 440 acres of fairways with a scenic backdrop of woodlands, mountains, and lakes. The golf course has four different routes as well as a driving range and practice area. A freeform, outdoor infinity pool with spa tub is flanked by towering coconut palms; the fairways lie beyond. For children, there is a games room with an indoor playground located near the pool; adult supervision is required. The air-conditioned library offers a small seating area with novels, magazines, and newspapers. Other recreational facilities include bicycle rental, two tennis courts, a squash court, and karaoke and snooker rooms (surcharges apply). In-room Thai massage is also available for a surcharge.
The 18-hole Springfield Royal Country Club, designed by Jack Nicklaus, is five km (three miles) away. 30 km (18 miles) away is the 18-hole Black Mountain Golf Club, which was opened in 2007 and which features natural creeks and rocks. Cha-Am beach is 20 km (12 miles) away, and Chiva-Som, a full-service health spa, is 30 km (19 miles) away.

Getting there: The most economical way of travelling to the Imperial Lake View Hotel and Golf Club direct from Bangkok International Suvarnabhumi Airport is overland, via car or van. This can be arranged by the hotel. Another convenient option is the airport limousine service. Travellers wishing to use a taxi should take note that it is preferable to arrange this in advance from a hotel in Bangkok. Other options include a long, but scenic, train ride or an inexpensive bus ride. Domestic flights are available daily to Hua Hin Thailand International Airport, which is about 25 km (16 miles) from the hotel. Flight time is approximately one hour. Rental cars are not recommended for travellers unfamiliar with this area. Car rentals are available online.
