The resort offers 2,103 guestrooms in 16 three-story hacienda-style buildings divided between two sides (Sunrise, Nizuc and golf suites by the golf course) that include nearly identical facilities and amenities. Rooms feature balconies or enclosed ground-floor terraces furnished with chairs and hammocks that provide views of gardens or the Caribbean Sea. Bathrooms contain two-person walk-in showers and two-person jetted tubs. Liquor dispensers hold rum, brandy, Scotch, and tequila. Minibars contain bottled water, beer, and soft drinks.

Recreation

The Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort is set along 1 km (0.75 mi) of beach, where lounge chairs offer sunbathing comfort and thatched-roof palapas provide shade. Each of the resort's two sides (Sunrise and Nizuc) includes an immense lagoon-style swimming pool measuring more than 200 meters (219 yards) wide that includes shallow areas for lounge chairs, jetted sections, and swim-up bars. Surrounding sundecks include palapas and toddlers' pools.

Use of kayaks, windsurfers, and Hobie Cat sailboats are part of the All-Inclusive Plan. Independent operators on the beach rent Jet Skis and offer parasailing and scuba diving and snorkeling excursions for surcharges.

Use of a championship-grade miniature golf course, six lighted tennis courts, basketball courts, and bicycles is part of the All-Inclusive Plan. Also complimentary are step aerobics, salsa aerobics, abs, firm-butt, and body-sculpting in the resort's two fitness centers and yoga classes in a meditation garden. Aerobics are offered in both of the resort's pools. A climbing tower is also on site.

Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the championship course at the the Moon Spa & Golf Club winds through mangrove forests. Amenities include a driving range, pro shop, and snack and beverage carts. Play on the golf course and use of facilities is not part of the All-Inclusive Plan but must be paid for separately. Golf carts are equipped with a GPS system. Greens fees include use of a cart. Know Before You Go

The resort offers 2,103 guestrooms in 16 three-story hacienda-style buildings divided between two sides (Sunrise, Nizuc, and the golf suites by the golf course) that include nearly identical facilities and amenities. The Sunrise section of the resort features elevators in the Mango, Luna, Piña, Piñata, Toronja, and Sombrero buildings; the Nizuc section offers elevators as well.

Maximum occupancy rules vary per guestroom and may limit extra persons; cribs and rollaway beds may not be available in all guestrooms.

Weather-related policies

• In the event that a hurricane directly hits any Palace Resort or Le Blanc Spa Resort while guests are at the resort, the hotel will provide a certificate for a return stay to the original resort for the number of original nights.
  A certificate will be offered if the U.S. National Weather Center issues a Category One Hurricane warning or higher to the area and the hurricane directly hits any Palace Resort or Le Blanc Spa Resort. The certificate will be valid for travel April 15 – December 15, 2008. It is non transferable and not redeemable for cash. Space is subject to availability and blackout periods apply. The policy excludes day of departure. Airfare and transfers are not included. This policy is for individual travel and groups booked through this Web site. It does not apply to groups booked directly with Palace Resorts or Le Blanc Spa Resort. Groups contracted directly with Palace Resorts/Le Blanc Spa Resort shall refer to their specific contract policies. Airline ticket holders are subject to airlines’ policies and guidelines. • There are no hotel penalties for all cancellations 72 hours or less before a hurricane strikes. Guests must contact the travel professional they booked their vacation package through to cancel. No-show penalties will also be waived up to five days after the original traveling dates.
• If guests choose to transfer their reservation to an alternate destination offered by Palace Resorts (Except Le Blanc), the hotel will offer rooms at the same rate based on availability. In the event that rates are lower at the relocating hotel, the hotel will issue a credit for the difference. If Le Blanc guests choose to transfer their reservation to any Palace Resort, the hotel will issue a credit for the difference in rate.
• If guests wish to postpone their vacation and travel at a later date to the original resort they booked, the hotel will protect the original rate for travel up to one year after the original departure date. Bookings must be rescheduled within 30 days after a hurricane strikes. This offer is based on availability and blackout periods apply. All-Inclusive transportation:
The resort provides shuttle service on a space-available basis in air-conditioned buses to shopping malls on Cancún Island, with stops at Palace Resorts' three Cancún Island resorts, Sun Palace, Cancún Palace, and Beach Palace, where the Moon Palace Golf & Spa guests are permitted to use facilities and dine and drink at those resorts' restaurants and bars.

Buses depart the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort at noon, 12 PM, and 2 PM. Passengers on each bus return at a scheduled pick-up time 3:45 PM and 5:30 PM, respectively. Complimentary shuttle buses operate 24 hours per day between the resort's two sides (a 2.5-minute ride), with stops during daylight hours at the golf course's reception area, where golfers may take golf-cart shuttles to the clubhouse. During daylight hours, complimentary vans shuttle guests to the golf clubhouse and the health spa.
