Hotel Information: A $10- million renovation completed in 2004 transformed the Fiesta Americana from casual to elegantly casual, exemplified by an expansive open-air lobby containing red-and-gray marble, plants, flowers, and upholstered dark-rattan seating. A multi-story thatched palapa shades the entrance, escalators connect to and from the lobby, and a waterfall serves as the hotel's towering signature.
Amenity highlights: A pool complex consists of an upper pool cascading into a meandering lower pool that includes a children's section. Beach frontage comprises 250 meters (273 yards) of powdery white sand extending the length of Cancún Island along the turquoise Caribbean Sea. Cushioned lounge chairs provide sunbathing comfort around the pools, on the beach, and on sand and grass areas terraced above the beach. Thatched palapas furnish shade.

Rooms
The Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun resort offers 502 guestrooms in three seven- and eight-story, U-shaped wings containing garden atriums. Rooms feature contemporary décor such as milk-glass tables; deeply grained wood furniture, headboards, and floor lamps; and all-white bedding with orange throws and multiple pillows. A minimalist look includes area rugs on tan-tile floors, tan walls, white ceilings and crown molding, and tan-marble bathrooms and outside vanities.
Entertainment options include pay movies and video-game consoles (surcharges). High-speed connections and televisions with wireless keyboards provide Internet access.

A pool complex features a 50-meter-long (165-ft) freeform upper pool cascading into a freeform lower pool that meanders 122 meters (400 ft) and includes a shallow children's section. Adjacent to the upper pool, a spa tub accommodates 10. Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun's beach frontage comprises 274 meters (300 yards) of Cancún's powdery white sand.
An independent water sports center, AquaWorld, near the beach rents boogie boards, arranges parasailing flights, and conducts a beginners' scuba-diving class (surcharge) in the hotel's pool. AquaWorld's main center is a marina located across the street from the hotel, 200 meters (219 yards) away on Nichupté Lagoon, where a variety of water sports are available, including kayaking, personal watercraft, sailing, and windsurfing. AquaWorld also books fishing trips and scuba diving and snorkeling excursions.

The 502-room Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun has three eight-story wings painted in a Mexican mosaic of peach, yellow, and earth tones. It is distinguished by an enormous, multi-story palapa extending over the drive-up entrance.
