Formerly a family residence, the hacienda-style Avalon Baccara Cancun offers 27 individually designed rooms, studios, and suites in a four-floor building with red-tile roofs; some have balustraded balconies.
All rooms have views of the ocean or Nichupté Lagoon; some have spa tubs. Suites have kitchens with china plates. Decor features decorative tiles, pottery, and original art. Amenities include TVs with U.S. stations and CD clock radios. DVD players are available on request.
