A light exfoliation prepares the skin for a hydrating thermal wrap, enhanced with personalized aromatherapy oils. The aloe-based treatment wrap is followed by a Vichy shower. Application of Dermalogica body moisturizer rehydrates the skin.

Recreation

Recreational opportunities within The Lakes Cairns Resort and Spa include three freeform pools and a fourth lap pool. A floodlit tennis court can be hired on an hourly basis, with ball fees applicable. A Bocce (lawn bowling) lawn is also available. The fitness center has a selection of weight machines, fit balls, cardiovascular equipment, including cycles and a rowing machine, and mats. Guests must request a key from reception for use of the fitness room. Bicycle hire can be arranged through reception, with bikes on site.

Nearby recreational activities include walks through the Botanical Park and Centennial Lakes, adjacent to the resort. Bird watching is also recommended, as more than 130 species live in the vicinity. With the resort’s proximity to Cairns city, guests can participate in other activities within 3 km, including helicopter sightseeing from Marlin Marina, and scuba diving and snorkeling tours from the city pier and wharfs. Golf is available for nonmembers at the Paradise Palms Golf course, located approximately 25 km from the hotel. Dining

Lago Restaurant and Bar - Located adjacent to the lobby, in the main reception building, the 45-seat restaurant offers evening dining, with an international à la carte menu. Menu selections may include Tom Yam Broth of Red Claw Yabbies with Straw Mushrooms and Cherry Tomatoes, and Oven-Roasted Supreme of Chicken filled with Pancetta and Porcini Mushrooms. Dark timber furniture, linen and napery, and subdued lighting create a semi-formal atmosphere. The bar opens for cocktails, wines, and other beverages from late afternoon, and remains open till very late. Bookings for the restaurant are recommended, and dress is smart casual.

Rambutan Bistro - Situated in the Monduran building, the bistro serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Hot and cold buffet breakfasts and Continental breakfasts are served from early- to mid-morning. A light lunch menu may include burgers, sandwiches, salads, and pastas, and dinner from early evening includes a selection of à la carte dishes, including examples such as Asian Spiced Pork Loin, Seafood and Preserved Lemon Risotto, and Char-Grilled Sirloin Steak. Tuesday evenings offers a pasta buffet, Thursday evenings is Asian buffet service, and Saturdays is seafood buffet selection.

Lime Bar - An alfresco bar, with a selection of beers, wines, and other beverages, the bar also has a light menu that may include potato wedges, nachos, and burgers. The bar is open from late morning, daily, and is located in the Monduran building.
