The four-storey Sanctuary Palm Cove has 22 self-contained one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with private access and with balconies that overlook the wetland lagoon and landscaped tropical gardens. All are air conditioned and have ceiling fans. Comfortable living rooms adjoin dining areas that can be opened up with bi-fold doors. The kitchens and laundries are fully equipped. Cable TVs and DVD- and CD players provide entertainment. Internet access is dial-up (surcharge).

Sanctuary Palm Cove has a 25-metre lap pool with integrated children’s wading area covered by shade cloth. A deck area with lounges surrounds the pool, and a spa tub and covered barbecue area are close by.

Next door, about 200 metres away, is a country club resort with fitness and sports centres, sauna, and tennis and squash courts that are complimentary for guests of Sanctuary Palm Cove. Palm Cove Beach, where guests may swim under the surveillance of surf lifesavers, is only 50 metres away.

Access to daycare and the Kids’ Club is also available at the same resort for a surcharge.

Driving directions from Cairns International Airport (CNS): Upon leaving the airport turn right onto Captain Cook Highway and follow the signs to Palm Cove. At Palm Cove, turn right into Warren Street. Then turn left into Cedar Road. The hotel is on the left-hand side near The Esplanade.
